Peter Obi, former governor and presidential candidate, has extended his heartfelt condolences to several prominent Nigerian families, mourning the devastating loss of their children. In a deeply personal message, Obi expressed sympathy for his elder brother, former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi, following the passing of his son, Faisal Makarfi. Obi also conveyed his sorrow to his younger brother, Mele Kolo Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, after the death of his daughter, Fatima Kyari. Additionally, he offered condolences to Dame Pauline Tallen, Minister and his dear elder sister, following the passing of her only son, Richard Adamu Tallen.
Reflecting on the tragic losses, Obi remarked on the unimaginable pain of losing children with such promising futures at a young age. "The vacuum created by their death will surely be felt in all the families," Obi stated, acknowledging the profound grief these families now face. However, he urged them to accept the painful reality as the will of the Almighty, who holds the power over life and death.
Peter Obi prayed for divine forgiveness and peace for the departed souls, asking God to grant them Aljanna Firdausi. He also prayed for the continuous protection and blessings of the Makarfi, Kyari, and Tallen families during this difficult time.
