"We Both Rigged Election Under Amaechi," Beke, Okocha In Heated Argument Over Rigging Claims

In a contentious argument, Nigerian politicians Emeka Beke and Tony Okocha argued over allegations of election rigging during their time in office.
The discussion escalated as both men traded accusations about their involvement in electoral malpractices.

Tony Okocha, the caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, openly confessed to participating in electoral malpractice while serving as the Chief of Staff under the Rotimi Amaechi administration. He accused Beke of being part of these actions.
Okocha stated, “Yes, I did it, and I need to let my brother know that the world is not fair, so just for his information. On the issue of whether I rigged the election, I didn’t hide it. I should be praised as a whistleblower.”He further remarked, “The reason why we have said so and will keep saying it is because of what is happening as we speak.

When you have an idea of a thing, and you see another person trying to use the same tactics that worked for you, he will shout.”
Okocha also claimed that both he and Emeka Beke were together when the rigging occurred, stating that Beke was present during the process.

However, Beke quickly denied the allegations, saying, “Ask Tony Okocha, when he was in the election, was I part of him? Did you ever hear me say that I rigged the election? I did not follow you to do any election. I did not partake in any election whatsoever.”He added, “I’m not part of that. You rigged the election, and we are going to ask the police to arrest you.”Okocha maintained his stance, insisting that Beke was involved: “You were the Chief of Staff during our meetings, and you were there when the results came out.
