In a strategic move to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), DHL Group and Temu have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing their logistics partnership. This collaboration is set to drive market expansion, improve logistical efficiency, and foster compliant trade in both established and emerging markets.
DHL, the global leader in logistics, will leverage its multimodal transportation solutions and extensive network to support Temu’s operations. A key focus of this partnership is Temu’s local-to-local model, which aims for 80% of its European sales to come from regional sellers, helping local businesses thrive.
“This agreement strengthens our commitment to supporting SMEs through innovative logistics solutions,” said Katja Busch, CCO and Head of DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation. “By combining our expertise with Temu’s platform, we can create more efficient and sustainable supply chains.”
The partnership will also help European sellers expand globally, providing new opportunities for SMEs to scale. Qin Sun, co-founder of Temu, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, “DHL’s extensive logistics network will help us connect more sellers with consumers, making affordable products more accessible worldwide.”
As DHL and Temu join forces, the initiative is expected to reshape the e-commerce landscape, opening new avenues for SMEs to compete and grow on a global scale.
