Russia has upgraded its Shahed drones, making them faster and capable of flying at higher altitudes. This modernization boosts the effectiveness of these attack drones, which have been widely used in the ongoing conflict. These enhancements present new challenges for Ukraine’s defense systems, as the improved drones are harder to intercept.
In response, Ukrainian forces, particularly the mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), have also adapted by upgrading their own equipment and refining tactics. These units continue to successfully target and shoot down Russian drones, despite the technological advancements.
The battle between attack UAVs and anti-drone units remains a critical aspect of the conflict, as both sides continuously evolve their strategies and hardware to gain the upper hand in this drone warfare arena.
