The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 30-hour #ECOWASCyberSecurity Hackathon, set to take place in Nigeria from the 15th to 16th of October, 2024. Eight standout teams are preparing to showcase their cybersecurity skills and innovation at the event.
JAMBARS – Senegal
Inspired by the word "Jambars," meaning warriors, this team of young cybersecurity experts is passionate about safeguarding digital environments. Focused on building a robust cybersecurity community in Senegal, they are determined to excel in this year’s hackathon.
TEAM ERROR – Nigeria
Formed in 2022, Team Error is Nigeria’s representative in cybersecurity competitions. Known for their top rankings in previous ECOWAS CTF events, they focus on youth empowerment and skill development, aiming to position Nigeria as a global leader in cybersecurity.
OFFENSIVE SECURITY – Guinea
Hailing from Conakry, Offensive Security is committed to strengthening Guinea’s digital security landscape. The team is known for its teamwork and problem-solving abilities, striving to lead in cybersecurity innovation.
REDTEAM-TG – Togo
RedTeam-TG is a pioneering force in Togo's cybersecurity scene. They have excelled in regional and international competitions and are dedicated to raising public awareness while training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
H4CK3RS – Mauritania
Specializing in Red Teaming and threat hunting, H4CK3RS is focused on securing Mauritania’s digital landscape. Their versatility and expertise make them a formidable presence in the competition.
SHELLXROOT – Côte D'Ivoire
Specializing in web exploitation and penetration testing, Shellxroot regularly competes in CTF events. After placing 4th in last year's hackathon, they are returning with their sights set on claiming the top spot.
SUDO-SL – Sierra Leone
SUDO-SL is a multidisciplinary team combining economics, engineering, and cybersecurity to tackle challenges. Their focus is on making a regional impact through CTF competitions, and they aim to showcase their skills in this year's event.
NINJA TEAM – Ghana
With diverse expertise, Ninja Team is focused on refining their skills and advancing cybersecurity practices. They are committed to making meaningful contributions to the field, both regionally and globally.
