Senator Akobundu Announces Shortlist for First Batch of ICT Training Program for Abia Central Youths

In fulfillment of his campaign promise to empower 1,000 youths, Senator Akobundu, representing Abia Central Senatorial District, has unveiled the first batch of shortlisted candidates for the highly anticipated ICT training program.

The selection process, which spanned across all 62 wards within the district, resulted in three youths being chosen from each ward, amounting to a total of 186 participants. These individuals will embark on a six-week intensive training course, aimed at equipping them with vital technology skills to thrive in the modern economy.

A second batch of trainees will be announced shortly, employing the same inclusive selection process to ensure grassroots youths across the district gain valuable, commercially viable skills. The program is expected to help address financial challenges and foster innovation in the district.

This initiative underscores the senator's commitment to youth empowerment and socioeconomic development in Abia Central.
